At Translatel, we’re all about innovation and the younger generation. One of our exciting projects is the Translation Summer School, created in collaboration with National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University. This year, we handpicked the 20 most motivated students from almost two dozens of higher educational institutions in Ukraine, giving them the chance to learn the trendiest and best practices in translation. During the program, we offered these enthusiastic students a wide range of valuable skills. Our team taught them the fundamentals of project management, while CrowdIn introduced them to the world of crowdsourced translation. TAUS guided them through the intricacies of post-editing machine translation, and Bohdan Babych shared insights on how to conscientiously assess the quality of machine translation. We’re incredibly grateful to the students for their trust and proactive engagement, and we’d like to express our appreciation to our amazing colleagues for their openness and top-notch professionalism.
